change nation

The Challenge:

Change Nation was an initiative to bring 50 of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs to launch their work in Ireland during the height of post-recession austerity. It was a hugely ambitious undertaking for a small non-profit organisation with a shoestring budget. However, the potential of the project demanded that we achieve maximum exposure to decision-makers and potential champions of the individual solutions.

The Solution:

Change Nation launched with a high-profile 3-day summit in 2012, where speakers including then Irish Prime Minister and Former Irish President attracted a distinguished crowd. Media partnerships with The Irish Times and RTE (including a 32-page newspaper supplement, daily primetime radio interviews and TV news broadcasts) played a pivotal role in building awareness and cultivating demand for the solutions among our target audience. Additional PR, plus pro-bono OOH and digital advertising bolstered the energy of the 3-day summit, catalysing hundreds of published commitments from key individuals across sectors to support the work of these social entrepreneurs.

The Result:

In 2013, the growing network reconvened to report on progress and continue driving the movement forward. As of today, over 20 of the solutions have entrenched roots in Ireland.
